Deck overview

This Grixis spellslinger deck is commanded by Fire Lord Azula, converting aggressive combat steps into spell duplication and burn velocity. Azula generates two red mana via Firebending on attack and copies any spell cast while attacking. The deck maximizes this window using instant-speed rituals, high-efficiency removal, and flash enablers like Valley Floodcaller to duplicate sorceries during combat. Heavy damage multipliers, including Fiery Emancipation, City on Fire, and Mjölnir, Hammer of Thor, turn modest direct-damage spells into lethal table-wide bursts. Mana engines like Storm-Kiln Artist and Archmage Emeritus generate massive Treasure and card advantage off every cast and copied spell. Karlach, Fury of Avernus and Aggravated Assault provide extra combat phases to trigger Azula repeatedly. The list pairs explosive proactive lines with premier interaction and redirection to defend Azula through combat.
