Deck overview

This deck is a thematic Jund midrange strategy built entirely around -1/-1 counters, attrition, and creature theft. Helmed by The Reaper, King No More, the deck leverages an efficient twobrid mana cost to land its commander early, distributing counters that both shrink opposing forces and turn their deaths into reanimation triggers under your control. A dense package of low-cost mana ramp ensures that the deck regularly deploys its engine on Turn 4. While the deck lacks fast combo lines and tutors, it generates compounding board presence through token engines like Nest of Scarabs and Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons. Opponents find their combat steps shut down by Kulrath Knight and their creatures wiped by synergies with Maha, Its Feathers Night and Soul Snuffers. The deck closes games around Turn 8 through unblockable token swarms and life drain.
