PRECON Upgrade: Doctor Doom

Format: Commander

Commander: Doctor Doom, King of Latveria

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Doctor Doom, King of Latveria leads a four-color Villain-tribal deck built entirely around the discard-and-connive axis. Every Villain in the 99 is an engine: Baron Strucker, HYDRA Overlord discounts Villains and connives on entry, Madame Hydra spawns menace tokens, Prowler, Clawed Thief connives on every Villain entry, and The Squadron Sinister turns the swarm into a flying, hasty air force. Doom converts every discarded land into 2 life lost by each opponent, and the deck is dense with outlets - Shadow of the Goblin, Ultimate Green Goblin, Green Goblin, Revenant, and Moonstone, Harsh Mistress - to trigger that drain every turn while also fueling the Mayhem/suspend engines in Doom's Time Platform and Kang Prime. Wound Reflection doubles all of the incidental loss, turning chips of damage into a true kill condition, while Doom Reigns Supreme and Glorious Purpose cash in Villain ETBs and connive counts for free spells. The finish is evasive combat plus table-wide drain.
