Commander: King of the Oathbreakers

Deck overview

This Golgari deck blends a dedicated Zombie tribal engine with combat-focused value and aristocrat drain effects. Glissa Sunslayer sits in the command zone as an efficient early attacker, leveraging first strike and deathtouch to safely generate card advantage, destroy enchantments, or strip counters from enemy threats. The deck builds a resilient army of Zombies buffed by lords like Death Baron and Undead Warchief, using cheap recursive threats like Gravecrawler to sustain board presence. Victory is achieved through wide combat swings empowered by Beastmaster Ascension, massive life-drain bursts via Gray Merchant of Asphodel, or explosive mass recursion using Living Death and Patriarch's Bidding.
