Raphael by Roadri

Format: Commander

Commander: Raphael, Tough Turtle

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Raphael, Tough Turtle is a mono-red token-and-ping aggro deck. The commander turns every other creature that enters into a one-point burn, so the deck floods the board with cheap tokens and hasty Goblins. The primary plan is exponential Krenko activations fueled by haste enablers, with Raphael draining a chosen opponent with each token. Secondary paths include spell-slinger pings from Guttersnipe/Firebrand Archer and a top-end of Etali, Drakuseth, or Chandra to convert a board presence into a finishing swing. Play is straightforward: develop early, use red draw to find an engine, then turn sideways. The two extra Raphaels in the 99 reinforce the Alliance theme as hidden sub-commanders, and Overpowering Attack provides a one-shot extra-combat closer.
