Angels by Mr_Feast_

Format: Commander

Commander: Gisela, the Broken Blade

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a mono-white Angel tribal build centered on the partner pair Gisela, the Broken Blade and Bruna, the Fading Light. The primary game plan is to deploy evasive flying angels, use lifegain as engine fuel, and grind out the table through combat. The signature line is assembling both commanders so they meld into their huge eldrazi-angel form, whose static ability shuts off cheap spells. There are no infinite combos. Secondary paths include Angel of Destiny's life-total kill, War of the Last Alliance into a double-strike alpha strike, and tall equipment like Blackblade Reforged or Caduceus, Staff of Hermes on a lifelinker. The commanders are powerful top-end pieces but not required for the deck to function, and the 99 is full of redundancy in angels, lifegain payoffs, and recursion.
