Deck overview

This deck is a Dimir midrange and control strategy that converts opponent creature deaths into massive board advantages. Commanded by Sephiroth, Planet's Heir, the deck uses early turns to establish mana rocks and deploy token-gifting creatures like Slaughter Specialist and Hunted Bonebrute. On Turn 5, casting Sephiroth triggers an asymmetric -2/-2 effect across opposing boards, destroying small creatures and immediately buffing Sephiroth into a giant, vigilant beater. The deck backs up this combat clock with edict creatures like Plaguecrafter and Accursed Marauder, draining life with Syr Konrad, the Grim while holding up an efficient suite of 1-to-2 mana counterspells and protective flicker effects. Alternate threats like Zenos yae Galvus // Shinryu, Transcendent Rival provide unique sudden-win angles, enabling the deck to maintain board control and close out games around Turn 8.
