Deck overview

This deck is a non-green Superfriends and Polymorph control deck led by Jace, Multiverse Architect. The game plan revolves around accelerating mana on Turn 2, deploying a disposable token or cheap permanent on Turn 3, and casting Jace on Turn 4 to immediately activate his -3 ability. This polymorph effect cheats devastating game-ending threats into play—such as Archon of Cruelty, Archfiend of Despair, Avacyn, Angel of Horror, or Nicol Bolas, Dragon-God—bypassing their heavy mana costs. Once established, the deck locks down opposing combat through Jace's passive attack tax and Onakke Oathkeeper, while proliferate engines like Flux Channeler, Patrolling Peacemaker, and Tekuthal, Inquiry Dominus rapidly tick planeswalkers toward game-ending ultimate abilities. Efficient instant-speed spot removal, counterspells, and protective phasing spells ensure key engines survive board wipes and targeted interaction, allowing the deck to close out the game through overwhelming card advantage and decisive combat pressure.
