Deck overview

This deck is a four-color proliferate and poison deck commanded by Atraxa, Praetors' Voice. The strategy infects opponents early with low-cost toxic and infect creatures or direct poison spells, then uses repeatable proliferation to push all opponents toward 10 poison counters simultaneously. Atraxa provides guaranteed end-step proliferation from the command zone while serving as an effective blocker and attacker with flying, vigilance, deathtouch, and lifelink. A deep suite of secondary proliferate engines, such as Evolution Sage, Bloated Contaminator, and Tekuthal, Inquiry Dominus, accelerates the poison clock without requiring large combat armies. Efficient removal spells like Swords to Plowshares and Drown in Ichor control opposing threats while continuing the proliferate game plan. The deck operates smoothly on curve, applies table-wide pressure, and recovers quickly because poison counters cannot be removed once placed.
