Deck overview

This deck is a Bant toughness-matters aggressive deck built around Arcades, the Strategist. The primary strategy deploys low-cost defender creatures during the first three turns, followed by Arcades on Turn 4. Once Arcades is in play, defenders attack using their toughness and cantrip upon entering the battlefield. This allows the deck to flood the board with high-toughness creatures that double as massive offensive threats and steady card draw engines. Asymmetric board wipes such as Slaughter the Strong and Expel the Interlopers clear opposing blockers while leaving your 0-power army intact. The deck finishes games through wide combat damage supported by evasion from Wingmantle Chaplain and trample from Towering Titan. Backup enablers like High Alert and Huatli, the Sun's Heart ensure the combat plan functions even if Arcades is answered.
