Deck overview

Thorin, King of Durin's Folk helms an aggressive Boros kindred deck focused on flooding the board with resilient Dwarves and converting artifact token production into overwhelming combat power. The game plan opens with efficient low-drop creatures such as Dwalin, Weaponmaster and Iron Hills Blacksmith, building a wide presence while creating preliminary Equipment and Treasure tokens. Once Thorin enters on turn 5, every Dwarf ETB generates a Treasure, scaling the power buff (+1/+0 per artifact token) exponentially across the entire team. Combat amplifiers like Shared Animosity, Andúril, Narsil Reforged, and Dáin of the Ancient Halls push damage totals well past lethal thresholds starting on turn 6. A robust suite of protection spells—including Flawless Maneuver, Boros Charm, and Galadriel's Dismissal—shields key pieces against sweepers and targeted removal. While the deck lacks combo finishes and relies on multi-turn combat rotations, its high tribal density and explosive stat-scaling make it a formidable go-wide threat.
