Deck overview

This deck is a Gruul Big-Mana Dragon Stompy strategy commanded by Xenagos, God of Revels. The game plan focuses on rapid early-game acceleration via dense 1- and 2-mana ramp pieces, followed by casting Xenagos on Turn 4. On Turn 5 and onward, the deck lands enormous flying threats such as Atarka, World Render, Balefire Dragon, Drakuseth, Maw of Flames, and Utvara Hellkite. Xenagos provides immediate haste and doubles the attacking creature's power, presenting sudden lethal bursts of 12 to 24+ flying damage each combat step. Supporting enchantments like Garruk's Uprising and Up the Beanstalk ensure steady hand replenishment, while Heroic Intervention and Xenagos's natural indestructible status provide resilient board presence.
