Deck overview

This deck is a Mardu control and Voltron list commanded by Kelsien, the Plague. The primary strategy focuses on equipping Kelsien with deathtouch using artifacts such as Basilisk Collar and Gorgon's Head. With deathtouch active, Kelsien taps to eliminate any targetable creature, permanently gaining experience counters. Untap engines like Thornbite Staff, Sting, the Glinting Dagger, and Drumbellower turn Kelsien into a repeatable machine gun that sweeps opposing creatures every turn. As opposing boards clear, Kelsien grows into a massive lethal threat with vigilance and haste, closing the game via commander damage or alternate win conditions like Revel in Riches and Vorpal Sword. The deck is reinforced with an exceptional protection suite featuring Deflecting Swat and Flawless Maneuver to maintain board dominance.
