Deck overview

This deck is an Azorius control strategy centered on tapping opposing permanents, distributing stun counters, and converting those counters into card advantage and board dominance. Commanded by Sensational Spider-Man, the deck deploys early tap enablers to lock down opposing threats while repeatedly drawing up to three cards per combat step. As the game develops, asymmetric lock pieces like Fear of Sleep Paralysis and Spider-Woman, Stunning Savior permanently freeze enemy creatures and enter-tapped artifacts. Proliferate engines accelerate these stun locks while growing threats like Rhoda, Geist Avenger. The deck closes out games around Turn 8 through wide token swarms from Hylda of the Icy Crown, massive combat beatdowns from The Watcher in the Water, and direct group burn via Mjölnir, Storm Hammer. Efficient countermagic, targeted removal, and board protection ensure the engine remains intact against opposing interaction.
