Deck overview

The Ur-Sphinx commands an Esper tribal midrange deck that leverages eminence to reduce the mana costs of high-impact Sphinx creatures. The primary game plan focuses on early artifact ramp and tribal cost reducers to deploy overwhelming flying threats ahead of curve. Once established, value engines like Unesh, Criosphinx Sovereign and Consecrated Sphinx generate massive card advantage, setting up devastating combat steps. The deck closes out games through wide aerial combat, sudden life total manipulation via Magister Sphinx, or alternate kills with Atemsis, All-Seeing. In the late game, casting The Ur-Sphinx or mass reanimation spells like Patriarch's Bidding easily overwhelms remaining opposition.
