Commander: Maha, Its Feathers Night

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This mono-black deck is built around Maha, Its Feathers Night, whose ability sets all opposing creatures' base toughness to 1. That turns every -1/-1 counter into a removal spell, and the deck is packed with wither sources, counter-placing creatures, and payoff engines like Necroskitter, Blowfly Infestation, and Nest of Scarabs. The primary win condition is the Sanguine Bond + Exquisite Blood infinite life-drain loop, which the deck's dense tutor suite can assemble quickly. A secondary lock is Maralen of the Mornsong + Opposition Agent, which stops opponents from drawing and lets you play their cards. The deck also carries a deep recursion package with Reanimate, Animate Dead, Persist, and The Soul Stone to rebuild through disruption. It plays as a control-combo deck that uses Maha to keep the board clear while it assembles its win.
