Y'shtola, Night's Blessed is an Esper drain-and-draw control deck that turns life-loss triggers into cards and finishes with either a giant Torment of Hailfire or Revel in Riches. The commander is both a draw engine, via the end-step 4+ life trigger, and a damage engine, punishing MV3+ noncreature spells. Smothering Tithe and Black Market Connections build a treasure economy, while Kambal, Sheoldred, and Painful Quandary tax opponents. Fandaniel and Inkshield provide alternative value/combat lines. The deck protects its finishers with free countermagic and instant-speed removal. Its plan is incremental, so it typically wins on turn 8 in a goldfish rather than via a dedicated combo.
