Deck overview

This deck is an explosive mono-red burn and combo list centered on Heartless Hidetsugu. The primary goal is to pair Hidetsugu with a damage multiplier such as Furnace of Rath, Solphim, Mayhem Dominus, Dictate of the Twin Gods, or Twinflame Tyrant. When activated, Hidetsugu deals damage equal to half each player's life total rounded down. Doubling that damage deals 40 damage instantly to players at starting life totals. To survive symmetric damage, the deck uses lifelink from Basilisk Collar and Loxodon Warhammer, damage prevention from Glacial Chasm and Dark Sphere, or asymmetric multipliers like Fiendish Duo. Dense acceleration and haste enablers like Arena of Glory and Swiftfoot Boots support a reliable Turn 5 finish. If Hidetsugu is removed, the deck transitions into a big-mana burn backup plan powered by Neheb, the Eternal to fuel massive Crackle with Power or Comet Storm spells.
