Deck overview

This deck is a Jund -1/-1 counters engine spearheaded by Auntie Ool, Cursewretch. The strategy converts counter placement into high card velocity and direct life drain against opponents. Supported by fast mana and efficient tutors, the deck deploys Auntie Ool alongside counter generators like Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons, Nest of Scarabs, and Yawgmoth, Thran Physician by Turn 4. On Turn 5, it suppresses opposing boards using wither effects, mass counter spells, and Kulrath Knight, while establishing life drain through Obelisk Spider and All Will Be One. The deck also features an infinite power combo with Devoted Druid and Quillspike. Although vulnerable to mass permanent exile and reliant on untapping with multiple permanents, the deck maintains resilience through flexible recursion, instant-speed protection, and asymmetric attrition that grinds the table out by Turn 7.
