Deck overview

This deck is a aggressive Mardu token swarm strategy led by Zurgo Stormrender. The core game plan focuses on casting low-cost token generators, attacking early to trigger the Mobilize mechanic, and leveraging Zurgo's versatile death trigger to convert combat trades into fresh cards while draining opponents when tokens vanish at the end of the turn. In the mid-game, the deck leverages high-impact anthems and damage amplifiers like Goldnight Commander, Marshal of the Lost, and Within Range to present lethal combat numbers across the table. While the deck boasts high internal redundancy for creature generation and backup aristocrat drain engines like Bastion of Remembrance, its extended multi-turn combat clock leaves it inherently exposed to mass removal spells and wipes that bypass indestructible effects.
