Deck overview

This Bant midrange deck leverages Tidus, Yuna's Guardian alongside a rich suite of +1/+1 counter enablers, counter multipliers, and proliferate triggers. The strategy centers on establishing early board presence with efficient modified creatures such as Gyre Sage and Shelinda, Yevon Acolyte, deploying Tidus on Turn 4, and utilizing his Cheer trigger to generate steady card advantage while growing the board. As the game transitions into Turns 5 and 6, the deck deploys game-ending threats like Byrke, Long Ear of the Law, Herald of Secret Streams, and Damning Verdict to bypass defenses and execute high-damage combat finishes. The deck protects its board with shield counters from Protection Magic, recursion from Luminous Broodmoth, and burst protection via Inspiring Call. While resilient against destruction and capable of explosive turns, the deck relies heavily on combat connections and requires proactive shielding against exile board wipes.
