Deck overview

This deck is a Naya +1/+1 counters deck commanded by Shalai and Hallar, designed to convert counter growth directly into lethal player burn. By pairing low-curve mana acceleration with counter enhancers like Hardened Scales, Branching Evolution, and Innkeeper's Talent, the deck sets up a rapid deployment of its commander on Turn 4. From there, explosive follow-ups like Kalonian Hydra, Railway Brawler, and Cathars' Crusade trigger huge bursts of non-combat damage while building an overwhelming combat force. The list also incorporates compact two-card combos, such as The Red Terror with the commander and Heliod, Sun-Crowned with Walking Ballista, offering alternate instantaneous finishes. Although it lacks dedicated creature tutors, its high density of redundant counter engines ensures consistent mid-game pressure, resilient board recovery, and the ability to close multiplayer games in rapid fashion.
