Alexios by NightKat13

Format: Commander

Commander: Alexios, Deimos of Kosmos

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This mono-red deck is built around Alexios, Deimos of Kosmos, a commander that changes controller each upkeep, must attack every combat, and grows with +1/+1 counters. The primary plan is to let Alexios accumulate counters and use double strike, double power, triple damage, and extra-combat effects to turn that size into commander-damage kills. Secondary paths include goading opponents' creatures into fighting each other while Alexios chips everyone, and using Kediss to spread a single lethal hit around the table. The commander is both the engine and the win condition; the 99 supports him with equipment, pump spells, redirection tricks, and modest card draw.
