Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis Reanimator Control strategy led by Sauron, the Dark Lord. It combines efficient graveyard reanimation with an oppressive Ring-tempting engine. The primary plan uses cheap discard outlets and tutors, such as Entomb, Buried Alive, and Faithless Looting, to put massive creatures into the graveyard early. High-impact threats like Archon of Cruelty, Terror of the Peaks, and Massacre Wurm enter play ahead of curve using spells like Reanimate, Animate Dead, and Victimize. Meanwhile, Sauron amasses resilient Orc Armies that trigger Ring tempts on combat damage, discarding spent hands to draw four fresh cards each combat cycle.
