Deck overview

This Orzhov Aristocrats deck is commanded by Teysa Karlov, designed to flood the board with disposable creature tokens and convert their deaths into devastating table-wide life drain. The deck's engine functions on four key pillars: steady token generators like Ophiomancer and Jadar, Ghoulcaller of Nephalia, free sacrifice outlets like Bartolomé del Presidio, drain payoffs like Marionette Apprentice and Mirkwood Bats, and Teysa's static ability to double every death trigger. While lacking dedicated infinite combos or fast mana acceleration, the deck achieves high operational consistency through substantial functional redundancy across all core roles. It reliably assemblies its engine by Turn 5 and establishes a critical life-drain clock on Turn 6, grinding down all opponents simultaneously by Turn 8. Graveyard recursion cards like Victimize and Reveillark offer excellent resilience against board wipes, ensuring the engine can quickly rebuild and close out games.
