Bard Dragon Killer by avavava

Format: Commander

Commander: Bard the Bowman

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Azorius deck, helmed by Bard the Bowman, is built around the "second draw each turn" mechanic, aiming to draw multiple cards per turn to trigger a host of creatures that create tokens, put +1/+1 counters, or draw more cards. The primary game plan is to generate overwhelming card advantage, build a wide board of creatures with +1/+1 counters, then leverage evasion (Herald of Secret Streams) and combat multipliers (Chocobo Knights) to eliminate opponents through combat damage. The deck lacks fast mana and infinite combos, relying instead on incremental value and superior draw power to outpace opponents. Bard the Bowman himself is not essential; he provides a single +1/+1 counter and lifelink each turn but is easily replaced by the deck's many other value engines.
