Deck overview

This Gruul Werewolf deck uses Tovolar, Dire Overlord to turn an aggressive tribe into an efficient combat and card-draw engine. The game plan starts by casting low-cost Wolves and Werewolves on the first two turns, followed by Tovolar on Turn 3. By Turn 4, Tovolar transforms the pack into nightbound beaters, generating massive combat damage and drawing 2 to 3 cards every turn cycle. The deck scales into the mid-game with powerful anthems like Unnatural Growth, extra combat steps from Relentless Assault and World at War, and token generators like Hollowhenge Overlord. While the deck is vulnerable to sweepers and lacks dedicated tutor chains, its immense card velocity and high threat density allow it to rebuild rapidly and close out games by Turn 6.
