Deck overview

This Golgari deck commanded by Meren of Clan Nel Toth focuses on an aristocrats and reanimation strategy. It leverages efficient mana dorks and early self-sacrificing creatures like Sakura-Tribe Elder to build experience counters rapidly. Once Meren is established, the deck generates compounding card and board advantage by repeatedly recurring high-value creatures from the graveyard straight to the battlefield. Oppressive attrition pieces like Grave Pact and Priest of Forgotten Gods keep opposing creature boards completely clear. The deck transitions into a decisive win on Turns 5 through 7 by cheating massive threats such as Vorinclex, Monstrous Raider and Razaketh, the Foulblooded onto the field with Natural Order or Victimize. It finishes games through unblockable combat damage with Triumph of the Hordes, scaling trample damage with Railway Brawler, or direct table-wide life loss using Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord. It demonstrates high resilience through redundant reanimation spells and tutor density.
