Deck overview

This deck is a high-power Rakdos big-mana and burn strategy built around Smaug the Impenetrable. By taking advantage of Smaug's indestructible keyword and unique noncombat damage trigger, the deck converts symmetrical and self-inflicted damage spells like Blasphemous Act, Star of Extinction, and Cut Propulsion into massive bursts of 8 to 20 Treasure tokens. These Treasures instantly fuel game-ending mana sinks such as Crackle with Power and Torment of Hailfire, or directly drain the table through aristocrat engines like Mirkwood Bats, Marionette Apprentice, and Reckless Fireweaver. Supported by fast mana, redirection protection spells, and an alternate infinite combo between Blazing Sunsteel and Brash Taunter, the deck transitions rapidly from ramp to a same-turn table elimination.
