Bill by Banjo

Format: Commander

Commander: Bristly Bill, Spine Sower

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Bristly Bill is a landfall/counters engine that turns every land drop into a growing board. The deck's primary plan is to ramp hard, drop extra lands through Azusa, Kodama, and Sword of the Animist, and spread +1/+1 counters while layering mass-doubling effects such as Hardened Scales, Branching Evolution, and Doubling Season. Secondary paths go wide with Scute Swarm and Awaken the Woods, or go tall with Mossborn Hydra and Tifa. Bill's activation doubles every creature's counters, and Garruk's Uprising or Craterhoof Behemoth supply the trample needed to convert that mass into a one-combat or two-combat kill. Without Bill the engine slows but still functions through the same supporting pieces.
