Tom, Bert & William by pm1022

Format: Commander

Commander: Tom, Bert, and William

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Golgari midrange deck helmed by Tom, Bert, and William leverages big creatures, sacrifice outlets, and graveyard recursion to grind out multiplayer games. The commander is a 5-mana 5/5 that converts creature power into card advantage (sac another creature to draw equal to its power, then discard) and self-replaces as an artifact on death, enabling repeated value. The plan develops early ramp into oversized threats like Yargle and Multani, Ghalta, Primal Hunger, and Lord of Extinction, then converts them via sacrifice engines (Greater Good, Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord) into cards, life drain, or tokens from The Skullspore Nexus and Beifong's Bounty Hunters. Secondary axes include mass reanimation (Living Death, Rise of the Dark Realms), discard payoffs (Bone Miser, Monument to Endurance), and combat backed by trample enablers. Wins come from table-wide drains, huge combat swings, or recursive board rebuilds rather than fragile infinite loops.
