Deck overview

This deck is a Boros Voltron and Heroic aggro deck commanded by Lightning, Army of One. The primary strategy focuses on deploying Lightning on Turn 3 and leveraging her built-in first strike, trample, and lifelink alongside her Stagger ability, which doubles all damage dealt to a player once combat damage connects. By pairing Lightning with cheap combat tricks like Titan's Strength, double-strike enablers such as Duelist's Heritage, and evasion tools like Prowler's Helm, the deck rapidly eliminates opponents through commander damage. A dense suite of one-mana protection instants, including Gods Willing, Sheltering Light, and Restoration Magic, defends the commander against targeted removal and destruction sweepers. Backup threats like Swiftblade Vindicator and Fabled Hero maintain offensive momentum if the commander is removed. While the deck possesses explosive single-target burst damage, it relies on sequential combat steps across multiple turns to defeat the entire table, leaving it vulnerable to mass exile and edicts.
