Deck overview

This Sultai deck harnesses Teval, the Balanced Scale to merge self-mill, landfall, and reanimation strategies into a resilient midrange engine. Early turns establish mana through conventional ramp spells before deploying Teval to mill cards, ramp lands directly from the graveyard, and generate 2/2 Zombie Druid tokens. Mid-game turns leverage card-advantage engines like Life from the Loam, Six, and The Gitrog Monster to stock the graveyard. The primary win condition peaks around Turn 6 with impactful mass reanimation spells like Living Death or large token generators like Avenger of Zendikar and Scute Swarm. With Wonder granting flying and Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord providing lethal direct life-loss, the deck closes the game across Turns 7 and 8. Its chief limitations stem from an absence of counterspells and protective interaction, leaving it susceptible to targeted graveyard exile and board wipes.
