Deck overview

This Golgari deck is a high-power Aristocrats and Token Swarm strategy led by Chatterfang, Squirrel General. The deck's primary game plan leverages Chatterfang's token duplication replacement effect to generate overwhelming board presence and fuel potent sacrifice synergies. By combining low-cost ramp with elite tutors like Demonic Tutor and Vampiric Tutor, the deck rapidly assembles game-ending infinite loops on Turn 4, most notably Chatterfang, Squirrel General with Pitiless Plunderer or Ivy Lane Denizen with Scurry Oak. When paired with aristocrat drain payoffs such as Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, or Marionette Apprentice, the deck drains all three opponents to zero life in a single turn. Defensively, Chatterfang turns spare Squirrels into instant-speed creature removal, controlling opposing boards and removing threats. While weak to well-timed instant-speed creature interaction and graveyard hate, the deck possesses high velocity, redundant combos, and devastating resilience.
