Deck overview

This deck is a synergistic Jund attrition powerhouse built around Auntie Ool, Cursewretch. The strategy revolves around placing -1/-1 counters across both friendly and opposing creatures. Auntie Ool turns self-inflicted counters into steady card draw while punishing opponents with life loss whenever their creatures receive counters. The deck steadily grinds down opposing boards using wither and mass counter distributors like Carnifex Demon, Soul Snuffers, and Archfiend of Ifnir. Asymmetric control pieces like Kulrath Knight shut down opposing combat entirely, while Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons and Flourishing Defenses generate swarms of tokens. The deck can also execute an infinite death loop with Blowfly Infestation and Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons to draw the library or clear all opposing creatures. It closes games through wide token combat, evasive demon beatdown, and cumulative life drain.
