The Ur Dragon by user6247085

Format: Commander

Commander: The Ur-Dragon

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This is a five-color Dragon midrange deck. The Ur-Dragon is both a cost reducer from the command zone and the main engine once it enters: attacking Dragons draw cards and let you put a permanent into play. The primary plan is to ramp to six-plus mana, cast or cheat a critical mass of Dragons, then use attack triggers to create an exponentially larger army (Miirym, Utvara, Roaming Throne). Secondary paths are direct burn from Dragon Tempest/Terror of the Peaks and the indestructible cascade win of Call the Spirit Dragons. The deck can pivot around Tiamat if the commander is denied, but a resolved Ur-Dragon significantly accelerates the win.
