Deck overview

Lightning, Army of One is a Boros equipment-voltron deck. The primary plan is to cast Lightning on turn 3, attach cheap or auto-attaching equipment, and use Stagger to convert a first hit plus a same-turn second damage event-double strike, extra combat, or Sword of Fire and Ice-into a lethal burst. Secondary paths are go-wide Soldier tokens with Heliod/Horn, keyword sharing with Odric, and recursive equipment recovery with Sun Titan/Forge Anew/Open the Vaults. There is no hidden commander; both faces of the MDFC lands and adventure cards are utility, not alternate generals. The commander is the engine and the kill condition, but the deck can fall back on suited-up backup legends.
