Deck overview

This deck is a mono-red burn strategy built around Hawkeye, Young Avenger. Hawkeye replaces all noncombat damage dealt to opponents and their permanents by adding its own power to each instance of damage. The deck leverages this ability by combining low-cost group pingers like Thermo-Alchemist, Firebrand Archer, and Coruscation Mage with power-boosting Equipment and Auras such as Hero's Blade, Blackblade Reforged, and Madcap Skills. When Hawkeye's power increases to 5 or higher, even a simple 1-damage spell like End the Festivities becomes a one-sided board wipe that deals massive damage to every opponent. The deck plays at a focused casual pace, ramping on early turns, deploying Hawkeye on Turn 4, and applying overwhelming burn pressure around Turn 6. While vulnerable to heavy removal and lacking stack-based countermagic, it delivers explosive, table-wide damage once its engine is established.
