Format: Commander

Commander: Honest Rutstein

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Honest Rutstein leads a Golgari graveyard value deck that grinds down opponents through self-mill, recursion, and continuous life drain. The commander reduces creature costs while retrieving key pieces from the graveyard, accelerating your board development. The primary path to victory leverages incremental drain engines such as Dreadhound, Bastion of Remembrance, and Bontu's Monument alongside self-mill triggers and creature deaths. Secondary win conditions involve overwhelming opponents through combat with massive threats like Neo Exdeath and Beledros Witherbloom, or draining life totals with Black Widow, Daring Operative. The deck repeatedly recycles creatures and lands to outlast opposition in long, attrition-focused games.
