Deck overview

This mono-black deck is a dedicated Zombie Aristocrats engine commanded by The Ghoul, Gunslinger. Its core strategy revolves around establishing early Zombie synergies, recurring disposable creatures such as Gravecrawler, and leveraging sacrifice outlets like Warren Soultrader and Carrion Feeder. The engine generates immense card advantage through Undead Augur and Midnight Reaper, while converting creature deaths into Treasure tokens, rad counters, and life drain via Zulaport Cutthroat, Ayara, First of Locthwain, and Vengeful Dead. By Turn 5, the deck deploys oppressive attrition engines like Grave Pact and Sothera, the Supervoid to continuously clear opposing creature boards, breaking parity completely. It closes games by Turn 7 through repeated burst life drain from Gray Merchant of Asphodel and wide combat swings bolstered by tribal lords such as Death Baron and Undead Warchief.
