Format: Commander

Commander: Omnath, Locus of Creation

Bracket: 5

Deck overview

This is a four-color Food Chain control-combo deck that uses Omnath, Locus of Creation as a value accelerator and reach engine. The primary line is fast mana into a two-card infinite-mana engine - Food Chain plus Squee, the Immortal - converted into a lethal Finale of Devastation with an X of ten or more, which gives every creature haste and +X/+X for a one-turn elimination. Omnath himself represents a second axis: a single fetch-land and Wrenn and Six can sequence all three landfall modes in one turn - draw, refunded {R}{G}{W}{U}, and 4 damage to each opponent - turning extra land drops into an attrition kill. Around the combo sits a dense tutor suite (a dozen search spells) and a near-complete instant-speed interaction package: nine counterspells, seven free or effectively free answers, and full coverage against creatures, artifacts, and enchantments. Underworld Breach and Emiel the Blessed provide backup engines that keep the deck dangerous even when Food Chain is answered.
