Deck overview

This deck is a Dimir midrange strategy centered on Kang, Temporal Tyrant that leverages Villain tribal synergies, connive card filtering, and payoffs for drawing two cards in a turn. The primary plan establishes early board presence with efficient Villains like Prowler, Clawed Thief and Kid Loki, casts Kang on curve, and attacks to trigger connive while draining opponents. The deck grinds out incremental advantages by turning card draw into board presence with Mischievous Mystic and Madame Masque while buffing attackers with +1/+1 counters. A healthy interaction suite of counterspells and spot removal keeps opposing commanders in check. However, the deck closes games through fair combat damage and small life-drain triggers, requiring multiple turns to eliminate three opponents while leaving its creature board exposed to sweepers.
