Deck overview

This deck is a high-velocity Jeskai Equipment Voltron build centered on Captain America, First Avenger. The primary game plan accelerates Captain America into play on Turn 3 and utilizes his Catch trigger at the start of combat on Turn 4 to attach massive Equipment like Colossus Hammer or Excalibur, Sword of Eden for free. This bypasses prohibitive equip costs and immediately threatens lethal commander damage. In addition to crushing combat swings, the commander provides onboard spot removal through his Throw ability, dealing direct damage by uncoupling Equipment. A dense package of tutors and card-draw engines like Puresteel Paladin and Sram, Senior Edificer sustains resource flow, while protective artifacts like Champion's Helm, Brotherhood Regalia, and Deflecting Swat safeguard the board. Secondary threats like Lightning, Army of One and Cloud, Midgar Mercenary provide powerful backup lines if the commander is removed, ensuring constant combat pressure.
