Make Them Suffer by MooseMage

Format: Commander

Commander: Valgavoth, Harrower of Souls

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Valgavoth, Harrower of Souls leads a Rakdos group-slug deck whose entire plan is to make opponents lose life for doing anything at all, then convert that bleeding into cards and a growing evasive demon. Cheap pain engines like Stormfist Crusader, Kederekt Parasite, and Rampaging Ferocidon open the bleeding, while Spiteful Visions, Fate Unraveler, Harsh Mentor, The Lord of Pain, and Mogis, God of Slaughter tax every draw, cast, and activation. Each opponent's first life loss per turn makes Valgavoth draw a card and grow. The finish is attrition: Blood Artist-class drains, Syr Konrad, the Grim, Massacre Wurm, a huge Gray Merchant of Asphodel, or a Fear of Burning Alive burst amplified by the Spiked Corridor // Torture Pit Torture Pit half. No infinite combos exist - this deck wins by inevitability, putting the table on a clock that only accelerates as the game goes long.
