For the Birds by kelley.kevin5030

Format: Commander

Commander: Kastral, the Windcrested

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Kastral, the Windcrested leads a Birds tribal deck built to flood the skies with low-cost evasive creatures-especially sixteen Tempest Hawks-and convert every point of combat damage into a free Bird, +1/+1 counters, or a draw. The primary plan is an overwhelming flying swarm, with Kastral as the repeatable engine and anthems like Empyrean Eagle, Soulcatchers' Aerie, and Cathars' Crusade providing size. Secondary lines use token bursts (Battle Screech, Perch Protection, Falcon and Redwing) and a flash Lord of the Eagles as a finisher. The deck is not a combo; it wins by unchecked combat damage.
