Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis Vampire tribal and theft midrange strategy commanded by Evelyn, the Covetous. The primary plan leverages low-to-mid curve Vampires to trigger Evelyn's ability upon entry, exiling cards from each player's library and turning them into an impulse-draw resource pool. Mana acceleration from signets and artifacts powers out Evelyn on Turn 4 or 5, establishing a steady flow of extra cards each turn cycle. Mid-game pressure builds through tribal lords like Stromkirk Captain and Captivating Vampire, synergistic token producers like Bloodline Keeper, and drain effects from Sanctum Seeker, Malakir Bloodwitch, and Vein Ripper. The deck closes games around Turn 9 through cumulative evasive combat damage and group life drain across three attack rotations. Interaction is supported by efficient counterspells such as Fierce Guardianship and Mana Drain, asymmetric removal via Olivia's Wrath, and targeted disruption like Opposition Agent. The deck operates smoothly as a resilient combat-focused engine.
