Commander: Doran, Besieged by Time

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Doran, Besieged by Time leads an Abzan toughness-matters beatdown deck. Its plan is not to use the commander as the sole damage source, but to pair him with a toughness-damage enabler such as Assault Formation, Bedrock Tortoise, or the hidden companion Doran, the Siege Tower. The commander reduces creature spells with high toughness and pumps every attacker and blocker by the power-toughness gap, turning walls into lethal attackers. Secondary paths include a massive Baldin/Unnatural Growth combat wave, Last March of the Ents card advantage, and Nethroi recursion. Without an infinite combo, the deck wins through a single overwhelming alpha strike or repeated commander/team combat.
