Deck overview

This deck is a high-power Grixis wheel and attrition strategy helmed by Sauron, the Dark Lord. Rather than relying on fragile single-card combo lines, the deck leverages immense functional redundancy across two symbiotic pillars: mass wheel effects and draw/discard punishers. By deploying early burn engines such as Sheoldred, the Apocalypse, Nekusar, the Mindrazer, Underworld Dreams, and Orcish Bowmasters, every wheel spell (Wheel of Fortune, Windfall, Timetwister) deals massive, symmetric damage bursts across all three opponents while stripping their sculpted hands. Sauron, the Dark Lord acts as a resilient mid-to-late game anchor, offering ward protection, an amassing Orc Army, and repeatable hand cycling whenever the Ring tempts you. Supported by free interaction like Deflecting Swat, Deadly Rollick, and Force of Negation, alongside devastating attrition pieces like Tergrid, God of Fright and Teferi's Puzzle Box, the deck steadily chokes opposing resources and closes the game within one turn cycle of its first wheel.
