Deck overview

This Mardu deck executes an explosive aggro-reanimator strategy led by Kaalia of the Vast. It accelerates mana on Turn 2 with efficient artifacts, deploys Kaalia on Turn 3, and attacks on Turn 4 to cheat massive Angels, Demons, and Dragons directly onto the battlefield. Powerhouses like Gisela, Blade of Goldnight, Avacyn, Angel of Hope, and Aurelia, the Warleader rapidly demolish life totals, while Valgavoth, Terror Eater and Archon of Cruelty strip opposing resources. If Kaalia faces targeted removal, the deck seamlessly transitions to an independent reanimator package powered by Entomb, Reanimate, and Animate Dead. A comprehensive removal suite, free protection spells such as Deflecting Swat, and steady card advantage engines provide resilience across four-player tables.
