Deck overview

This deck is a mono-blue big-mana control deck commanded by Braids, Conjurer Adept. The strategy accelerates mana on early turns to deploy Braids alongside cheap protection, then leverages her upkeep ability to cheat colossal threats into play without paying their massive mana costs. Payoffs include devastating Praetors like Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur, game-ending Eldrazi titans such as Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre and Kozilek, Butcher of Truth, and lethal artifact bombs like Blightsteel Colossus and Portal to Phyrexia. To mitigate the symmetrical nature of Braids, the list runs robust countermagic including Force of Will and Fierce Guardianship, phasing tools like Vanishing, and timing modifiers like Leyline of Anticipation to break parity. Even without the commander, high-capacity mana engines like Throne of Eldraine and Gauntlet of Power let the deck hardcast its top-end threats, while asymmetric control pieces systematically lock down opposing boards.
